Antique Embossed Tin Steamer Trunk, Flat Top Travel Chest
An antique steamer trunk with beautiful embossed tin, a flat top trunk. A RARE Steamer Trunk, vintage trunk chest all original w/Interior Tray. A real treasure chest!
This vintage Travel Trunk is a very unusual flat top steamer trunk with embossed tin and angled cut lid (so that the front of the trunk is lower, when lid is open- it’s a wall hugger model, see last pic). It appears to be entirely original, which is why I haven’t refinished it. It’s beautiful, just the way it is! The original handles, on this antique travel trunk are gone on one side and mostly there on the other, but not fully attached. I can replace handles, for an additional charge, if you’d like.
Latches in tact and working, center lock has no key
Oak slats, on this vintage trunk are lighter in color, embossed tin is varying shades of dark blue, with a tan background and black, on the ends
Interior of this antique steamer trunk is covered in it’s original paper, but can be stripped, for an additional charge
Measures 34 5/8” wide, 18 5/8” deep, 23 1/8” tall
