Antique Steamer Trunk | Domed Trunk | Embossed Tin Wood Chest
This elegant antique steamer trunk features a wooden trunk covered in embossed tin, showcasing refined craftsmanship and timeless Victorian-era style. Originally designed for travel, this vintage steamer trunk now offers beautiful functional storage while serving as a sophisticated decorative accent. With its intricate tin detailing and classic form, this antique trunk works perfectly as a blanket chest, or statement piece in a living room, bedroom, or entryway. This antique trunk is covered in a beautiful embossed tin, a rare tin pattern, and is a refurbished trunk or a refinished trunk!
The body of the trunk has been done in several shades of browns and blacks. Embossing's and hardware have been buffed bright, oak slats are done in walnut, and coated with polyurethane. Still has the original tan leather handles, and original tan leather lift loop, no key.
The interior of this antique chest trunk is all original, and is in pretty good shape. there are a few stains, and someone before me bought pieces of black and white printed paper, to sit inside (they’re not attached). There aren’t any bad odors, which is pretty rare, and I’d not hesitate to use this one just as it is! It also still has it’s original interior tray, it too is in great shape!
