Antique Steamer Trunk, Flat Top Chest, Coffee Table Trunk, Original

An antique steamer trunk or a flat top trunk, that could make a great coffee table trunk, or chest coffee table.
This is a very nice, vintage trunk chest that’s mostly original w/Interior Tray.

It appears to be entirely original, which is why I haven’t refinished it. It’s beautiful, just the way it is! The original handles, on this antique travel trunk were gone and have been replaced, using some vintage leather, to closely replicate the straps, across the top of the trunk, which are original. Top straps are in decent shape visually, but are likley pretty rotten, the one side (at trunk’s left) the buckle is detached, but included.
Latches in tact and working, center lock has no key
Oak slats, on this vintage trunk are darker in color, and appear to be the original finish, along with the canvas body and tin.

The interior of this old trunk, including interior tray, is stripped and sanded, and ready for your finishing touches, though it is useable just the way it is. This one came extremely clean, the wood almost looks new!
You could decoupage photo copies of family photos, old love letters, sheet music, family recipes, children's art, etc. it's a blank canvas! If you're not familiar, with the process, I'd be happy to guide you. These old trunks also make a great gift for the bride and groom, or for use as a card holder, at a wedding reception.
These trunks are both a keepsake gift, and an heirloom gift!
The interior, of this Antique Steamer Trunk, can also be stained, painted, or torched, by me, for an added charge. Though it is useable, just the way.
