This authentic antique domed steamer trunk is a rare and exceptional piece—a large Victorian-era travel chest now restored and ready for beautiful functional use in your home. Previously a vintage travel trunk or antique travel chest, it’s now your treasure chest, storage solution, or heirloom keepsake. 

Sometimes referred to as a Victorian steamer trunk, arch top trunk, or domed trunk, this piece stands out with its unique Blackened Relic Jade finish, which shifts color in different light. The finish was carefully applied to echo the look of an original color variant, making it especially hard to capture in photos—but stunning in person. 

The exterior has been professionally refinished, the super chunky hardware is buffed bright, and the oak slats are stained in deep walnut and top-coated for long-lasting protection and visual appeal. New, custom faux leather handles complement the exterior while contributing to both durability and period-inspired style. 

Inside, the trunk has been stripped to bare wood, sanded, and completely refinished. The interior is upholstered in a rich medium brown faux leather (premium vinyl) with nickel-plated stud detailing and new custom lid compartment doors that open easily and look period-appropriate. Minimal adhesive was used, meaning no unwanted odors!
