This authentic antique steamer trunk is a beautiful vintage wood chest featuring classic construction, aged patina, and original character from historic travel days. With its slight curved top design and generous interior storage, this antique trunk works perfectly as a blanket chest, decorative storage piece, or statement accent in a living room, bedroom, or entryway. This is a vintage trunk, or a antique steamer trunk. Once a travel trunk or travel chest, is now ready to be your treasure chest or treasure trunk, the perfect storage chest, or storage trunk, and much better looking than a cedar chest!
This antique steamer trunk is covered in pinwheel tin, with what looks to be it's original finish, with some rust. This antique trunk chest isn’t the largest made, but it’s definitely on the larger side, and deeper than some are.

Pinwheel tin looks like it has some sort of finish on it, I don’t think it’s just bare metal. smooth tin portions are black. Wood slats have what looks to be just a stain, could have a tongue oil or linseed oil that has broke down. Whole piece has scarring (see pictures). This vintage trunk has its original leather handles, one handle has one layer of leather separating, could be glued, if you’re interested in preserving the original handles.

This antique steamer trunk Measures:
34 1/2" wide, 20 5/8” deep (front to back) 21 " tall at corners, 24 3/4" tall @ sides (including slats).
All measurements include protruding hardware.
