This is a spectacular antique steamer trunk, a large antique trunk or vintage trunk chest. Once a antique travel trunk or travel chest, now a treasure chest or treasure trunk, a great antique storage trunk. This vintage chest could also make an excellent coffee table trunk . These Vintage chest trunks also make a great keepsake gifts.

This large flat top steamer trunk, large storage trunk is newly refinished. The wood slats, on this antique steamer trunk, are finished in a medium walnut, and coated with polyurethane. The tin body, on this vintage trunk chest, has embossed tin, and flat tin. The embossed tin on this vintage trunk chest has been buffed bright, and the background color is a brown grey, it's hard to put a title on it, because lighting really make it change, but more obviously brown, than grey. The remainder of the body, on this vintage trunk chest is finished in black shabby, with bits of bright & seasoned tin showing through. These flat top Antique steamer trunks with embossed tin, aren't very common, especially in the large size. The handles are as I got them. They look to have been replaced in the past, with an era correct handle. They're not perfect, but look good with the piece. I'd not recommend using them, though I don't recommend using any of the handles, new or old.

Interior of this vintage chest trunk is stripped and sanded, and ready for your finishing touches. These antique steamer trunks are a great keepsake gift, add decoupage, of photo copies of family photos, old love letters, sheet music, family recipes, children’s art, etc. it’s a blank canvas! The interior of this antique steamer trunk vintage trunk chest can also be stained, painted, upholstered, or decoupaged to your specifications, by me, for an added charge. Though it is useable, just the way it is.
This old trunk has 3 slats on the bottom, and the front one is partially missing, it doesn’t effect the way it sits, and you can’t see it, but still wanted to mention it.
