Beehive Trunk, made by L.E. Morrison Co, Indiana, likley from 1900 -1910 This size trunk would also make a great coffee table trunk, or coffee table chest.

These old trunks are a great for blanket storage, magazines storage, media storage, also great for dog food storage, or gym equipment storage, etc

This antique Chest is one of the largest made, and extremely ornate! This era of steamer trunks didn’t have many flat tops, especially this ornate, or in this size group. This old trunk has been refinished in a beautiful deep brown metallic. It’s a very subtle metallic, and I’d personally call it an iridescent.
Oak slats, on this vintage trunk are done in walnut stain and topped with polyurethane. The trunk slats are a little beat up, and some are a bit grainy, but it doesn’t detract from the looks of it, in my opinion.
New custom black leather handles, this old trunk’s latch is missing the loop, on the trunks right, and the actual mechanism that holds the loop, had to be put back on with screws. because it was broke. it’s not super noticeable, but it isn’t functional.

Interior of this antique travel trunk has been stripped, sanded and is ready for your finishing touches, though it is useable, just the way it is. This antique chest also has its original interior tray, which has also been stripped and sanded.
These old trunks are great to decoupage photo copies of old family photos, kids art, recipes, old love letters, sheet music, newspapers etc. You can also line it with contact paper or self adhesive wall paper, so many possibilities!
Steamer trunks or antique trunks also make a great Wedding Gift, Housewarming Gift, Couples Gift, military retirement gift, retirement gift, anniversary gift, or a birthday gift, it’s both a keepsake gift, and an heirloom gift!

The interior can also be painted, stained, torched, polyurethaned, or upholstered, by me, for an added charge
