This is a spectacular vintage chest, a large antique steamer trunk. What was once a vintage travel trunk or vintage travel chest, is now ready to be your treasure chest or treasure trunk, the perfect storage chest, and much better looking than a cedar chest!
This antique steamer trunk is covered in tin, with what looks to be it's original finish, or possibly vintage refinish. This antique trunk chest isn’t the largest made, but it’s definitely on the larger side.

These vintage trunk chests are not very common in this great shape There are a few scuffs, here and there, see pics. Body is done in blacks, and varying shades of browns. It also looks as if this vintage trunk had new leather handles, at some point. Wood slats are lighter in color, hardware is gold tone/brass
The interior of this vintage trunk chest has been redone by someone, prior to me, using what looks to be contact paper, they did a really nice job, and it's still in great shape, with no odors.

This antique steamer trunk Measures: 32" wide, 17 1/4" deep (front to back) 20 " tall at corners, 21 1/2" tall @ center sides and the very center a bit taller.
