This Antique Steamer Trunk, is a pretty rare antique chest. This old trunk has a tooled tin that’s not very common. It will make the perfect storage chest or storage trunk!
Previously a vintage travel trunk or antique travel chest, now it’s ready to be your treasure chest. This is a wooden trunk, covered in tin. Sometimes referred to as a Victorian Steamer Trunk, Arch top Trunk, domed trunk,or a humpback trunk.
These antique trunks make great military retirement gifts, wedding gifts, housewarming gifts, it’s an heirloom gift and keepsake gift, all rolled into one. These antique chests also make great card holders, for the wedding reception, and then a wedding keepsake forever cherished!

This antique chest has some of what I believe, were the original colors. I’ve buffed the metal bright in most areas, at high points, leaving behind the burgundy , reds and creams!
The rest of the body is done in aged black
Oak slats are stained in walnut and top coated with polyurethane. This old trunk also has new, custom faux leather handles. Trunk is missing the edge bracket, at trunk’s front left side, at top of slat, see pictures.

The interior of this vintage chest has been stripped down to bare wood, and sanded, as has the interior tray.
