This brown metallic trunk is a very unique steamer trunk coffee table
This beautiful antique steamer trunk makes the perfect coffee table trunk. Previously an antique travel trunk, now it’s a trunk coffee table.
This Vintage Chest or Trunk Table definitely has a Restoration Hardware feel.
This old trunk is Refinished in a deep brown metallic. The metallic is very subtle, and I’d classify it more an iridescent. Oak slats are refinished in dark walnut stain and topped with polyurethane. The original leather (at least I think it’s leather), and tacks holding it on, are in varing shades of tan & brown. the tacks have been buffed bright. Original , brown leather handles still completely in tact. Trunk has swivel and lock steel wheels.
No key.
There is a crack, on the lid, that can be seen on the interior shots as well. while it is visible, it still feels sturdy, and does not seem to affect the overall structure, and it adds character!
The interior of this Vintage Chest Trunk is stripped & sanded, for a clean odor free interior! It’s useable the way it is, but I can paint, stain or torch the interior, for an additional fee.
Trunk Coffee Table Measures: 34 1/2” wide, 20 1/2” (front to back), 17 3/8” tall, including slats & hardware
This old trunk weighs approximately 36 pounds.
