This ornately crafted, antique steamer trunk or antique steamer chest, is larger than most. A spectacular old trunk, it’s not only beautiful, but this large trunk serves very well as an antique storage trunk.

This antique steamer trunk is one of the most spectacular old trunks, I’ve ever had in my possession, likely from the mid to late 1800’s
This old steamer chest is Newly refinished in multiple colors of aged brown, brown metallic & blacks in varying sheens & shades. Spectacular hardware, on this steamer trunk, accented in black and partially buffed bright. Oak slats, on this old trunk, stained in a ultra deep, rich jacobean stain and coated with polyurethane. This antique chest trunk also has new, custom leather handles, no key for this vintage travel trunk or travel chest.
Look at last two pictures, this old trunk is missing a piece of the metal band, on the back side, near trunk’s right rear corner. Though it really isn't noticeable.
Interior, of this vintage steamer trunk’s body has been stripped and sanded and awaits your own personal touch. You could decoupage photo copies of some old family photos, sheet music, art work anything paper. You could also stain, paint, apply contact paper, etc. I’m happy to guide you, if you need.
The original insert, in this antique trunk is still intact, but not in great shape, as are the compartments, in the lid. The insert is not repairable, due to some previous attempts (by someone before me) at repairing.
If you’d rather I can strip the rest of the interior, or I can strip the interior and stain, paint, or torch the interior of this steamer trunk for you, for an added fee, and delayed delivery date.
This antique trunk measures: 32 1/4” wide, 18 3/4” deep (front to back) 23 3/4” tall @ center side, 21 3/4” tall @ corners , approximately 26 1/2” tall at center of lid
